The why behind the how.
Most tutoring hands you a formula, walks you through an example, and hopes pattern-matching carries you through the next problem set. That works until the problem changes shape — which, in engineering, it always does.
Every session works one step upstream. Where did the formula come from? What quantities does it actually relate? What does each term do dimensionally? What breaks when you push it too hard? Answer those, and the formula stops being something you memorize. It becomes something you can re-derive if you forget, adapt if the problem doesn't fit the mold, and sanity-check with an order-of-magnitude estimate when the answer looks wrong.
The point isn't just a better exam grade. It's the ability to sit down with an unfamiliar problem and know where to start.

Who I am.
I started at Lemoore College the fall after high school and left with a 3.99 GPA, four associate degrees, and multiple President's Citations — top of most of my classes across math, physics, and engineering. Two and a half years of Supplemental Instruction there for 100+ students in Calculus I–III, Classical Mechanics, Statics, and C/C++.
I'm now a junior in Mechanical Engineering at UCLA with a 3.93 GPA — A+ marks in Fluid Mechanics, Dynamics, Circuits, Statics & Strength, and Spacecraft Design. I lead the thermal subsystem on a debris-removal spacecraft design team, conduct research on hydrophobic materials in the Micro and Nano Manufacturing Lab, and previously designed a lightweight A-arm and welding fixture system for Bruin Formula Racing before shifting focus to research.

Public work.
Tutoring is a private thing. But the reasoning behind good problem-solving works better when it's public. I post full derivations of tough problems, common misconceptions worked out in real time, and techniques that generalize across subjects.
